"First Edition: August 2008" is stated in the middle of the copyright page, with full number line "10 9 8 7 6 5 4 3 2 1" on the bottom. The copyright page lacks any mention of a special edition. Boards are black paper with silver lettering on the spine. The back of the dust jacket lacks any critical reviews or bestseller touts, but similar to Eclipse, the first issue dust jacket of Breaking Dawn does have touts for the other books in the series on the front cover and on the back flap.
Note: The novel ends on page 754. But then there are extra pages including a vampire index, acknowledgements, and an advertisement for the official guide coming December 30, 2008.
