All the King's Men

The first edition of this classic Robert Penn Warren book was published by Harcourt Brace and Company in 1946. It was 464 pages long, and the original retail price was $3.00. First edition points are: "first edition" is stated on copyright page. 1st state dustjacket has Sinclair Lewis blurb on the back - it is very rare.

A less expensive alternative is the signed Franklin Library edition. They range in value from $300 to $700.

All the King's Men won the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction. This book is also one of Time Magazine's 100 Best Novels. Other Time 100 Novels include The Heart is a Lonely Hunter and Nineteen Eighty-Four

The Franklin Library limited edition was put out years after the first edition. But it is a relatively inexpensive way to have a signed edition by Robert Penn Warren.
