The first Issue of the first printing has the word "and only moved because the heavy hands were pendula" on the bottom of page 9. There is also a bullet between the two 8's on the page number of page 88. 2,500 copies of the first issue were printed. The book is beige cloth stamped in terra cotta and black, and blue top edge. The first printing dust jacket has the original price of $2.00 on the upper front flap.
